Baby comes home & heads for Spa!

My lil Blue classic has finally arrived.  She left PA where she was staying with friends at MiniObsesion and arrived at 9am this morning.  I had her delivered directly to Detailing Dynamics where she’ll spend the next week or so amongst fine exotics and getting a royal spa treatment in preperation for her first cars show on the 17th.

GP1717 was on hand to greet the lil one and Eddie has  a blast driving her into the shop

where Angus and Ceasar stood at attention for the new comer.

What’s that ole saying?  Under every rainbow there is a pot of Gold?   Guess they were right

MTTS 2008 Miami to Boston Rally

Looks like there will be a 5-day Rally from Miami to Boston headed by Rauno “The Flying Finn” Aaltonen following the conclusion of the Miami events and stopping at various spots for dealer or MINI Club events.

Oh this sounds like fun!!!

MTTS 2008 Registration Open

MINI Takes the States 2008 is officially open for registration and the dates and locations are finalized. 

• Miami June 13-15 @Homestead Racetrack with hot laps
• Boston June 20-22 @University of Massachusetts
• Chicago July 25-27 @Road America race track
• Los Angeles  August 1-3 @Rose Bowl

According to the site each city activities will include

• MINI Parking Corral at festival grounds
• MINI-Autocross Test Drive
• Live festival entertainment
• Headliner band Saturday night
• The “Bootload of Fun Zone” with activities for all ages
• MINI Vendor Village
• An official MTTS Welcome Kit for each paid attendee
• Friday night Meet & Greet (MINI Owners only)
• Rise and Shine Saturday Rally (MINI Owners only)

GP1717 Breaks Free

Well the stars aligned today and GP1717 broke free from her just shy of five month winter hibernation which she spent hermetically sealed in a carcoon while resting her paws on TireCradles.  What a life!.      Even SilverGirl came out for a few hours to stretch her legs.

Green GP and Friend to All

Well GP is not quite Green but she does attrack Green friends.  Quite often I find a Grasshopper(?) resting on GP in the mornings prior to heading to work. 

This morning one was hanging out on her wing.  Perhaps analyzing drag coefficient?

Last time, one was hanging out on the roof and the lil fellow was able to hang on for the 1 mile ride and spent the day keeping GP company while I was working away.   I wonder what they talked about?
