British Invasion Day3 - Goodbye Rain, Hello Santa
September 16, 2007 on 11:00 pm | In British Invasion, Recent Posts |On the final day we had another fine breakfast with Ian and Margaret and then headed over to the field and negotiated a fairly clear path and setup for the field of colors. GP1717 parked in the ‘Rainbow’ section as the ‘Two-tone area was setup in a messy part of the field and just didn’t want to get her any dirtier then possible.
The weather was great and provided an opportunity to walk around and really get to appreciate the many great cars in attendance.
One of the events was the tailgate party where folks dressed up in different themes.
Then it was time for the awards. Winning ‘Best of Show’ was this faboulous Singer and this young girl won first in her category with her Mini Convertible. Louis and Elsa won First Place in the New MINI category continuing their streak of awards for ‘FastMini’
After the MINI class awards were called out it was time to hit the long road back home but not before stopping at Santa’s Land to give the bears a chance to play.

I see a Metro, didn’t think that was a British car? Looks like you had a nice time. I’m doing the Cruise for a Cure thing this weekend with SCMM.

it isn’t but was nice to see a fine example as that one. in the Rolls class was an Olds Toronado with the Rolls Royce Grill which was humorous as I had owned the Eldorado version with RR Grill. Have a good trip.
